The Debut Performance of the Lily Youth Ballet Project
Step into a world where pages come alive and storybook magic meets the grace of ballet! The Lily Youth Ballet Project is proud to announce its debut production, "Lost in a Good Book." This charming original ballet brings together beloved characters from classic fairy tales as they leap off the page and onto the mainstage.
We invite dancers ages 8 and up from across Vermont and New Hampshire to join us for our inaugural season and bring this story to life.

Audition Frequently Asked Questions

No solo preparation is required. Auditions are structured like a standard technique class, allowing our artistic team to observe dancers in barre, center work, and movement combinations appropriate for their age and skill level.

Dancers should wear standard ballet attire:
Girls: Solid-colored leotard, pink or skin-tone tights, soft ballet shoes with hair secured in a neat bun. Dancers on pointe should bring their pointe shoes.
Boys: Fitted white shirt, black tights or leggings, and black or white ballet shoes.

We evaluate technical foundation, musicality, focus, and a willingness to learn. Auditions are not meant to exclude dancers, but rather to place each student in a role and group where they will be supported, challenged, and able to succeed.

Yes. The Lily Youth Ballet Project is committed to providing performance opportunities for all registered dancers ages 8–18 who demonstrate the dedication and commitment required for rehearsal and performance schedules.

Rehearsal will be held on Saturdays between Oct and Feb. There will be a technical rehearsal week from Feb 8th to Feb 12th. Availability for rehearsals will be collected at the auditions and will be taken into consideration in casting.

There is a $50 annual membership fee to join the Lily Youth Ballet Project. This covers all auditions, rehearsals, and costumes. Dancers are responsible for their own hair supplies, tights, and shoes. Fee is due prior to starting rehearsals.
